why did it snow ...

Couldn't go to *Blah* Park. Far too icy and snowy :( But hopefully going on friday! Took aload of pictures of zippy in the snowy frost, but my camera was pretty crap as it was dull out. I managed to get a good clip of her rolling on video though :) I need an SLR soonish! ;)

Woo going to *Blah* Park on wednesday! Gunna be lush, its meant to be really nice around there. Hacked out today, went round the housey area. Zippy was perfect, didn't put a foot wrong. Had quite a long stretch of trot today, and zippy was fine with it. Very .. speedy, she had definitely woken up by then! Zippys owner is looking for some simple dressage tests we can 'look into'. Off the subject of horses ... I'm 16 on the 8th january! woo :) My blogs probably bore you .. but 2009 will be better, and more interesting! I had started to make another zippy video, with a cute song. But I haven't added all the old boring clips I've got new ones from december (Its a december video). I need to get some clips of me riding her, trotting etc. So will take my camera to *Blah* Park on wednesday :) xx

Boxing day ride :D

Today My little sister and I went on a hack :D Well we got to the yard and I gave Z her xmas pressie! A navy headcollar :) I had to put it on the loosest hole as she has such a big head, even though its a cob size :P Well anyway gave her a good ol' groom with my new purple grooming kit! Got tacked up, and my sister mounted. Jess (sister) mounted and we were off down the road. It really was a nice day :D When we got to the end of the lane, I got on, Well I tried to! I had basciallt just sat in the saddle and she was off! Fastest trot ever down the road, and no pelham! I was nearly sliding off but lucikly my dad came to the rescue. Eventually she calmed down, and we were walking at a calm pace :D I got some nice picsm but i'm at familys atm so will put them on bebo/facebook soon :D zippy<3

Went on a hack today, it was lovely :D We did some more trotting, and I could tell that zippy enjoyed it as she had her ears forward, was very forward going, and started to trot at mention of the word! Hopefully spending boxing day morning with her :D merry christmas, xx

zippy i love youuuu :D

Great hack today :D Tacked up, slid a santa's hat under zippys bridle and I put tinsel round my hat ^^ We delievered zippys owner card on horse back, then we went through the local town/house area. Everyone was smiling at us, because we were all chrismassy! It was really nice xD We done more trotting today, and zippy was fine with it. Hopefully riding christmas eve next, and going somewhere nice! I can't wait. Ohh and today, I got zippy a navy headcollar. Well I was meant to be helping my parents choosing what presents I wanted, and I choose a head collar :D Looool. Picture :D

what a hack that was!

Well what a lovely crazy hack we had, with about 9 million gates to open:L Zippy was great though and she did make me laugh quite abit during the ride. It started off really well, and we even started some trot work on the straight roads. Then this deer zoomed right infront of us, and spooked the horses. (Riding out with zippys owner and her horse) That was one of many spooks to come! We then went off into the first field, and had to go through two gates. But there were complicated ones so had to dismount, there was also abnout 12 spikey twigs in the way. Anyway carried on through about two more fields, dismounted again because of another two gates. Very muddy, and me and zippy were like sinking :L Then got back on again, and another gate:L Yet again very very muddy! Another field, and another gate again!:L Bloody gates drive you crazyy. Then we saw two gorgeous deer! They got really close, and they were very cute :D Went through this village and zippy was like all happy and in her 'hurray' mood. Then another flipping gate and really stinky, sludgy mud which neither me and zippy enjoyed going through. Two more fields, and then another gate which was about two fields away from the yard. But a bull was in there! We were like '@^*$^^%&' . I hate cows, let alone bulls! So no thanks:L By now we were abit unsure about where to go, but found another gate! With a big puddle ... Then another gate with like a ditch so dismounted and got across. Oh and guess what! Another gate :@ Which was completly flooded, the muddy water nearly went over my tall boots. But got through then another gate and then another:L Then a very overgrown bridle path, which led into someones garden?!?! Ahh well went through anyway! Met zippys favourite cows, and she stole there hay. This next bit is the EXCITING but scary bit! We saw about five sheep just casually eating hay staring at zippy. So zippy was abit weary and she shyed away, then PING! She bombed off at full speed, ON THE ROAD! Heading for a tall iron gate i was like 'OMMMMG' but managed to swerve away and she finally stopped. Thankgod for the pelham is all I can say ;) Cookies if you got this far!:L Tomorrow, were getting all chrismassy and delivering cards on horseback. Out comes the tinsel and santa hat ;)

I made zippy a stocking! Its got a big green 'Z' on it! :D Hopefully start making her numnah next year as i've got most the materials and done all the coursework now :D Found out that yesterday morning zippy was galloping about for like 10mins, flat out gallop! Practicing her 20M circles and stuff! Hhaa, shes such a babee :) But, it didnt effect her leg at all - which is really good news for me. We rode out and she was a little madam. She would not stop jogging! Ohhh but she does make me laugh :D Can't wait to ride her again tomorroww. We will hopefully be starting trotting work soon, and maybe maybeee - next year we could do walk and trot tests, so basically start competing again. But, i'm not getting my hopes up. I love you zippy :D xx

Zipps leg has improved loads which is great :P She keeps charging round her field, and not going lame! Which is a really good sign :) Ohh here's a picture of the paddock, which we would usually school in!

ergh. I'm ill again, I have no energy and I'm meant to be going out for a meal tonight. I wasn't going to go, but I think I will now; as I don't want to dissapoint my friends. Didn't ride today, mucked out though. The paddock was flooded! I was like ':O' It was like a pond, and the jumps were like floating away. I had no energy to muck out, I done a really crappy job. umm :(

zipps :D

Today zippy was winded up by this other horse which made her end up trotting and cantering like a looney; full of beans. At first when I saw I was like ':O nooo she's going to go lame!' But she didn't! Which I'm really happy about, cos' its such a good sign xD Then I rode her and she was great. We done some polework, and I gave her loadsss of cuddles. I also caught her on film yawning;) well the last of it. I am so happy with her! :D

I am still ill! Feels like some one is sawing at my throat it bloody hurts ¬¬ ahh really shouldn't of gone to town. I came straight home and went to bed, and watched some random movie. I am about to go back to bed too! I hope I will feel at least 95% okay tomorrow, and as I'm meant to riding zippy at this really nice park! I can't stop coughing grrr. Umm i bought myself a nice scarf that I am wearing now xD New loook! (Y)

I hate winterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I am ill :( Achey body, temperture, cough, sore throat etc :L Had to bring the horses in, as i was dragging myself round the yad, just wanted to sleep, LOL. Anyway, going to town tomorrow, if i can get up xD I need to get zippys christmas pressie .. um. headcollar? dunnno. And sunday! .... cirencester park! Can't waittt xD love you zippy za [=

Its so cold!

omg its sooooo cold, brrr. Even though i wear 3 paris of socks (one really thick) and two pairs of gloves; i still get really cold. its very annoying lol. Anyway, i rode zippy today :) Got her from the field, and i led her up as it was soo icy. I would usually ride, but that would be dangerous in these conditions ¬¬ Tacked up, and stuff then set out some poles. Zippys owner and I thought there would be no harm in doing so, and it was something different for me and zippy, she enjoyed it too :) We worked on going straight over the poles, and working on an outline :L Also inside bend round circles, as I find it difficult to get her to bend. But yeah she was really good:D xx

d day today! Had an english GCSE mock, but found it easy. We had to describe a place which is special to me, and ovbs I talked about the stables :D Like a second home ^^

Anyway, we checked zippys leg and its def not getting worse! wooo.

But not too bad. Didn't get too ride today though, as mum didn't want to stay:L so just mucked out, fed etc :D

The ride today.

Omg, it was so cold today. I swear my fingers nearly froze off. Anyway, went down the the yard this morning gave the horse their breakfast, mucked out and tacked up. The we were on our way [= I hadn't done this ride before so it was a new experience, lol. Anyway, the ride would be in fields most the time, so I rode zippy in the pelham - Becase she thinks 'Grass = Flat out gallop' Even if she has a swollen leg! And my god, I'm so glad I did ride her in that! The first part of the ride she was just pootling along, but then PING! She was off! Jogging the whole way ¬¬ Then we got to this pond thingy, and we went in and she spalshed about. Then we went through again, and she went zooom, and I lost a stirrup and got a face full of branches but luckily I didn't fall off ;) I just can't believe that zippy is actually 21! She has so much life in her :L as i know ... Her leg, really dosen't seem as swollen anymore. The cortaflex could be ... could be working. I really hope it does xD

Riding

I've just come back from riding zippy. It was actually great :D She was full of bounce and took off with me:L We went round the town, which she really enjoyed and so did I. Came back washed her legs, and I noticed that the swelling had gone down. But, her owner and I don't want to do trot work incase, it swells up badly and she goes lame. So its abit .. : ... about what to do at the moment. We did have a few little trots today, and she was okay .. but yeah :) Going down the yard tomorrow, and were gunna go and have a ride round somewhere called 'The Farm' '-'. I've heard its mostly fields, so its a shame we can't go round for a canter. :( Oh well. I love zippy =D

OMG. I am not in a good mood tbh.

One of my zippy videos (the only one with over 1,000 views) has been disabled! DISABLED! Its been up for months and now someone decided to claim the music! Grrrrr. I keep trying to replace the music, with crappy youtube music, but it keeps saying error! Like wtf :L

grgrgrgrgr. I DONT want it too get deleted.

I will just have to try AGAIN tomorrow, i guess ...

Just come back from doing the horses, zippy was such a cutie today :D
She's been on her medicine for a couple of days so far.
But there doesn't seem to be any effect yet. But of course we will give it a month or so :)
Decided i might teach zippy some simple tricks, to create a stronger bond between us, xx

Decided that I am going to make yet another video of zippy, but this time a thankyou one. To thank her for everything she's taught me etc, because to be honest I wouldn't be the rider I am today with out her - *Sniffle* I now just need to find a nice song, which seems to be proving difficult :P I'm sure I'll think of something though. I'm going to make this video very special, somehow :P Ahh still can't believe that this has happened. Had so many events planned for next year. Just my luck i guess :(

I'm a celeb's on now, better go! :D

LOL. I don't think i actually have anyone reading my blogs :L Oh well. We got zippy's medicine today. I really hope it helps her. It was £52 and should last a month, now just gotta hope it has some effect. Umm yeah i just rode zippy (bareback) while leading bobby, to their field today - and that was all the riding i done today; as i then went off to watch some dressage which was good =]

P.s I made a zippy edit :D as i was feeling abit down about stuff. Not sure what though :L

Zippy :(

I have been loaning for just over 7 months, but now i think the time is coming to end. Sadly zippy has a leg injury where soon she will have to retire at the age of 21. She has taught me so much, so this is very hard for me. I still can't quite believe it. I rode her on the 7th may for the first time, i knew as soon as i got on her that she was perfect. we went on a hack, and into a field where we had an accidental flat out gallop - but looking back on that now. I'm glad it happened. I had her on trial for a month, and everything went perfect. I was having the time of my life. As time went on things were getting better and better. A bond started too form. Life was great :D Then one day when i was having a lesson on her, she tripped and fell with me on her. It shook me, but i knew it was an accident. Then we started jumping, and she gave me all the confidence in the world! Before i had none, as i was at a riding school where i learnt nothing. With zippy i ended up jumping 2ft with loads of confidence. I couldn't believe how far we had come. I done my first ever show in july, we did'nt get placed, but i learnt alot. But on my second show i got placed! I was over the moon! 6th place was good enough for me xD But back to now, sadly zippy has to semi-retire :'( I still can't get my head around it. When i first found out, i couldn't stop crying. Zippy is seriouley my everything at the moment, she gets me throught school and stuff. Now i can only walk on her :( and when goes lame again, then theres not much that can be done. Apart from put her into full retirement. So yeah, nothings going right at the moment. I am going to stick with zippy even if we are only able to walk, i love her dearly :( I have so many pictures, videos, and memories in just a short 7 months. The things which have made me really sad are - 1) The thought of zippy just being sat in a field, 2) Knowing that we had so much planned for next year which is now all a dream, 3) Im meant to be making zippy a numnah for my GCSE textiles, its meant to have her name embrioded on it :'( And it seems like i won't be able use it on her :( and 4) I really wanted to gallop across a beach on zippy :( Thankyou so so so much to her owner. I have learnt so much from you, thankyou for giving me lessons i really appreicate everything. Thankyou for hacking out with me, taking me places, taking me and jess to your horse live and taking me shows. I hope that i'll be able to find a horse like zippy, and near zippy, so that i can still hack out with you and maybe do the plans we hd with zippy on another horse. but one thing for sure, i will never ever forget zippy, and i will always visit her. thanks if you read this far, xxx
