Best ride i've ever had.

Omg I could actually cry. Zippy was amazing :'(

We went to a cirencester park - the ride was about 3 hours long and zippy and I loved every second. There were these 'grass avenues' pic above that went on for about a mile and we cantered all the way. In on of they avenue's it turned into a gallop oopsey, zippys owner was on her horse charlie and we were practically racing the adrenline ^^ We came across some jumps and charlie jumped them while me and zippy cantered along side. I just don't know to say, it was so amazing. We nearly bumped into the hunt! That would of been a disaster lets say : I'm so proud of zippy she loved it so much, just to see how her leg holds up now. Wish i got some on film :( but there was no one to film and no one would of been able to catch up anyway:L I'm hoping her leg will be okay fingers crossed. Dressage championships on friday :)

Whayy Good news!

Well, on my last dressage I didn't that I had qualified for the championships but ... yesterday I found out that I have! So that means on good friday zippy and I will be going to the championships! :) So happy - really looking forward to it. If you come in top 3 you get a prize, and if you get in top 10 you get a rosette. Gunna try my best ;D Now to learn inductory B walk and trot ;

Spring is on it way :)

Today I took zippy up to the arena, bareback. I practiced my dressage, and done the teeniest bit of cantering with her as I didn't want to put too much pressue onto her leg. She was a ver good girl, and I stayed on! The weather was lush, sun was shining, blue skies ... by the end of the ride I was just in a strappy top! In the following weeks, I may start lunging zippy, and in the summer there is te possibility that I can show her!

News

Zippy is okay at the moment. There is no lame-ness and the heat has gone from her leg, so all goood so far. Will probably go for a little hack later, and tomorrow do some schooling, and hopefully do abit of cantering - Depending on her leg! She's gunna be 22 in May (more like 5 hehe) can't believe it! Golden oldie. I'm really regretting not jumping her bigger and stuff now. Well they say everything happens for a reason ;D

Hacked out today, went through this narrow pathway, where I got attacked by about a million tree's and i was only wearing a little thin top, cos' it was pretty hot out! Got to this really flat field and zippy's like woo were off. So here we were at a very fast canter, and i was like 'omggg slow down' and she was liike 'omg lets gooo', and i always end up getting all tense which doesn't help. Arghh she's just so strong, even with the pelham in. We were heading towards the gate and I seriously didn't think she was gunna stop, but she did at the last minute phew. Rest of the ride was pretty good, but when we had another canter she was very strong once again and all fizzed up so I just had to try and relax. She got herself all hot and bothered though.. I think were going to clip her soon, we hadn't before though cos' we hadn't done much work - but now were doing alot of cantering :)

Went to clear round jumping today, and rode a pony called hercules and got a clear round, so pretty happy with that :) Was gunna chicken out as i haven't jumped in so long! Would of been nice to do it on Zippy but ya' know .. can't atm or never .. But yeah was good got a rosette (Y) Can't see Zippy till sunday now as I am busy grr :)

Over the moon ...

I am seriously so happy! I finally got Zippy cantering again, I just can't believe it. She did have exercise bandages on ... but they kept falling off :S Anyway, I was just so happy to be cantering her again - ahh it was just so lovely :) It was easier than I thought, she went straight off my leg most times - and she seemed to be really enjoying it. Now .. tomorrow we will just have to see what her leg looks like. Fingers crossed that its gunna be alright ... and if it is. We will go for a little canter out on a hack. Got lots of clips, so will add them to my february viedo! I love my zippy :D:D

ps. My sister got stuck in the mud in zippys field, was so bloody funny! We managed to get her out but not her boots aaha.

Schooling whilst out hacking

Today I had quite a good ride, it was getting late so we decided to only got to the end of the road. But it turned out to be very good, and alot of help. Umm, and I dunno why but I felt today that me and zippy really clicked ! :L Anyway, we done ALOT of trot work, and transitions to get her listening to me. One exercise was to trot to a certain point and try your best to go down to walk at a tree or something, and then to count 4 horse strides in walk and then trot again. This was really good, its also in my test tomorrow so it should help alot. Zippy was very forward going, and she'd flow into a trot :) Wish me luck for tomorrow I'm gunna need it! Theres like 30 people in my class : I have no hope of getting placed again! Luckily its outside though, and I think i'm gunna get it read out for backup consdidering its quite complicated. I'm looking forward to it though ;D

Snow has been great I must say! But that means I haven't been able to see Zippy as much as I'd like to :( But i went down yesterday and rode, and also today and rode. I was very careful about the icey patches, as I didn't want her slipping! I don't think Z is enjoying the snow that much, she seems miserable - bless her. We have dressage on sunday, I won't get much time to practice because my mum is so busy at work so I can't get across there ... but will just have to see how it goes. I think its quite a complicated one though, haha. But only walk and trot, because we are going to start canter work with her when the ground is better :) xx
Ps - I keep getting faked?!? Its so annoying and horrible and just meh :(
It makes me soooo upset. Oh well i suppose i'll just have to 'GET OVER IT' as one of my lovely friend said ;/

Dressage

Dressage went Ok :)

Could of been better :L

I felt like i rode really crap, and Zippy didn't help!

It was indoors which she doesn't seem to like so she went into tanking mode. Luckily I was able to control her, unlike I did on my first dressage haha. Didn't get placed, and got 55% .. not too bad considering the person in 1st place only got 68%. There's always next time .. the next one we are doing is at Lackham College - that should go ok as theres are outside. So yeah looking forward to that :)

I haven't practiced much for this one, as i've been busy. Whearas for my other tests I practiced quite abit. Ohwell, will just have to see how it goes! Got my Jacket and Jods all ready ;)

Heloooo

We have been practicing lots of dressage ;D which I am very excited about! We managed to use an arena which was all good. Zippys outside bend is really bad, which has been frustrating! So we have been doing some leg yielding. Her legs got clipped and the bad one is like 'wow :O' i swear its not even bad anymore! Before there was a huge lump, but theres like nothing now? Any how, we are going to see how the dressage goes. If it goes well, then we will start cantering! But most likely to be no more jumping with zippy :( I am upset about it ... but i love zippy and won't leave her:D A couple of my friend has offered to let me jump their ponies so its all good :) xx

Life is goooooood :)

Its my birthday, and I'm finally 16! :P

I'm having a photoshoot with my mates on sunday, which is gunna be lush!

Everything with missizippy is going well at the moment too! I just hope she stays sound.

So yeah on the 1st of feb were doing dressage!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait! We've also got a good chance of being placed! :P So dressage practice saturday morning, sleepover sat night and photoshoot sunday! :):) xx

HAPPY HACKER =D
We have been doing lots of hacking recently, and me and the zippster are loving it! Yesterday we went to *Blah* Park and it was great! I was abit worried to start off though, as I had it drummed into me that zippy was going to bolt when we went into this field (Which has happened before), but everything was fine. Well every field we went into zippy was jogging non-stop! The fields were lush, that you could just gallop straight across. One field was so long it was like 'whoooosh :P' The views were also really nice to ride by and going across the valley etc. We rode for about 3 and a half hours in the end, and zippys leg was perfect! Then today we went out in the trailor again, to this wood place, which was really nice and the sun was shining :) Zippy was alot more relaxed, and yeah it was just really nice :) I also have a surpise with what i'm doing with zippy on the 1st feb, which i thought we'd never ever be able to do again! But I will make a video once i have done it!:P
